According to the most recent release gave by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cyclone lay focused over focal pieces of south Bay of Bengal around 930 km south of Paradip in Odisha, 1080 km south-southwest of Digha (West Bengal) and 1200 km south-southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh) at 5.30 om on Sunday. It is probably going to increase further into an 'amazingly extreme cyclonic tempest' during the following 24 hours. Upwards of 17 groups of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been sent in Odisha and West Bengal. While seven groups of the power have been sent in six locale of West Bengal—South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Howrah and Hooghly, 10 groups are on alert in seven areas of Odisha—Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj. 

Seven groups of the NDRF, containing 45 staff for every group, have been conveyed in six locale in West Bengal, to be specific South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Howrah and Hooghly. 

10 groups have been sent in seven regions in Odisha, specifically Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
